Volcano experiment 1
Last night, we did the volcano experiment, I am sure everyone knows how to do it, but my experience did not go as expected, I thought that there would be explosions, screams, mess, but none of that happened. We put 100 millilitres of vinegar, then 2 table spoon of baking soda, dish wash and food colouring. What happened? there was no explosion, just the vinegar flowing down the artificial volcano.
We did it with more baking soda, this time, it erupted and covered the entire bottle, towards the end of the eruption it did start flowing like the previous attempt of the volcano eruption, not like how I expected. So we added more vinegar instead, the result was the same, that is 3 minutes of my life I am never getting back.
The next thing we did was changing the temperature of the vinegar, we did cold first, and ironically, it did not erupt, it went up very very very slowly, so we learned, cold vinegar = no eruption. So if the volcano is about to erupt, pour tons of cold vinegar, and it will stop erupting. We used hot vinegar, and that was the real fun one, it erupted like mad, it did not explode but I enjoyed it.
